NDC Fastpitch Inks Hamilton’s Henry

South Euclid, OH – May 3, 2004 - One of the state’s top third baseman, Hamilton High School’s Bridget Henry, has officially committed to play for Notre Dame College by signing an NAIA Letter of Intent.

Playing for a high school team that has gone far in postseason play for the past three years with Henry on the hot corner, this season is expected to be no different for the 2003 Regional runners-up. Currently hitting .448 for the Big Blue, Henry will earn her 11th Varsity letter at the conclusion of the season.

Last year’s team Best Offensive Player and a Greater Miami Conference Second-Team selection, Henry also received the Archie Griffin Award that is presented to the school’s best female athlete. A member of the Honor Roll, she was also a four-year member of the Varsity soccer team and a three-year member of the Varsity basketball team.

Henry, whose future plans include becoming a nurse, was sure Notre Dame was the right choice for her after visiting the campus, “This is a great opportunity to achieve a great education and to further my softball playing career for a great team,” said Henry.
